Lauriel Lynar:  

I left Annandale HS in 1968, just after JR. year and moved to Salt Lake City, UT. Finished at Olympus HS. One of my favorite activites there was singing in the concert choir and learning to ski! It was quite an adjustment leaving good friends behind in the DC area, to begin senior year in a new place. I learned to love the Utah mountains and amazing desert rock formations in southern Utah! But I missed all my lifelong friends. Attended Weber State in Ogden for awhile, then moved to Northern Calif, around Lake Tahoe, California/Nevada City, in the Sierra Mts., to live and work on a boys ranch/working cattle ranch for awhile, where I adopted a little mustang (the horsey kind) from the government, that I rode to work. An idealic life! Later married and moved near Laguna Beach, CA, enjoying weekends at the beach, body surfing or carousing the little artsy towns, and great seafood/crab houses. We moved to San Jose (the Bay Area) in '81 and divorced. No kids. I discovered a peaceful life living in the redwoods, but working in Silicon Valley as a real estate appraiser.
